Ahh, Spring in Connecticut

Reminds me a lot of WINTER in Connecticut, actually. Okay, in all fairness Spring is still officially one day away, but I just have my doubts that the winter wonderland that I woke up to this morning will somehow become a vista of green grass and flower blooms by tomorrow. Yes, shoveled the drive again this morning; hoping it's for the last time. As much as I love winter, I am now officially ready for it to move on. Oh, it's the last day of my break, and the kids are home today: snow day, of course. Click the icons below for some pictures I shot this morning.

Our mascot for the week. Watching over the front porch from the eave above the garage, he looked better when I first built him. Probably looks so sad because he's tired of hanging around here; he's ready to head north for the summer!
What gardening looks like in Connecticut for the month of March.
Wet snow sticks to everything, and it IS beautiful, I'll give it that much.
This poor tree should give you a good idea of just how much snow we've actually had this week!
Some tulips that got confused by last week's warm weather. "Hey, I thought someone said it was Spring up here!"
The boys' treehouse along the woods behind the house looks neat surrounded by all the snow covered trees.
Some equipment that can hopefully be returned to service soon.

Winter is crafty. My siblings had their lacrosse net, soccer gear, and other sports paraphernalia out and ready to go. Now they're digging it all out of the snow in the yard :-).

I love the picture of the gate... very serene and beautiful.
