We Rondayview works out a fair place for people to meet. To do that it has to handle where people are starting from, which is worth being precise about.
You can use the whole app without an account. Signing in only adds saving and friends.

Addresses you type but do not save
If you are not signed in, or you just type an address into the box, that address is used to work out the meeting point and is not stored on our servers. It is sent to the services below so they can turn it into a point on a map and measure the drive.
Sharing your address with a friend
This is off unless you turn it on, and it is a real disclosure. When it is on, an accepted friend can use your home as their starting point — which means they get your coordinates, and coordinates are an address. The app shortens the label it displays, but that is cosmetic. Turn it off any time in your profile.
Who else is involved
Using the app sends some data to these services. We do not sell anything to anybody.
- Supabase — stores the account data above and sends the sign-in email.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim — turns a typed address into coordinates.
- Overpass — lists cafes, bars and parks near the meeting point.
- OpenRouteService — measures real drive times. It is asked by our own server, so it never sees your browser.
- CARTO and OpenStreetMap — draw the map tiles.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces.
There is no analytics, no tracking pixel, and no advertising network. Ads here are sold directly and are counted only as a total per ad.
Location
The crosshair button asks your browser for your location. Your browser will ask you first, and it is only used to fill in that one box. It is not stored unless you save it as your home address.
Deleting things
You can delete a saved meetup, remove a friend, clear your home address, or turn off sharing, all from inside the app. To delete your account and everything attached to it, email beholdalu@gmail.com and it will be removed.
Children
This is not aimed at children under 13 and accounts should not be created for them.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
